My Story
This Is My Brand
Hi, I’m Stella Raquel and this is my very own brand. But the story behind my brand — and even the story behind my name — began long before I was born.
A Family Born in Hosiery
My grandparents began manufacturing hosiery in the 1970s, starting a family tradition built around craftsmanship, quality, and a deep understanding of textiles.
My father was born into the hosiery business. He grew up surrounded by knitting machines, yarns, fabrics, samples, and the people who knew how to turn an idea into a finished product.
As he got older, he learned the business from the inside out — manufacturing and machinery, fibers and yarns, product development, sourcing, quality, sales, and, most importantly, what it takes to make a great product.
When he joined the family business, he built on what my grandparents had started. While hosiery remained at its heart, he helped expand into new categories, including socks, seamless garments like intimate wear & shapewear, and other apparel products.
The products and technology evolved, but one thing never changed: a commitment to understanding how something is made and never compromising on quality.
My Mom Brought Her Own Story
My father later married my mom, Raquel, and with her came another side of my family — one with its own entrepreneurial spirit.
My mom grew up watching her father, my grandfather, who had an extraordinary natural talent for sales. He understood something that can't always be taught: how to connect with people.
He knew how to listen, how to understand what a customer needed, and how to build relationships based on trust. To him, selling wasn't simply about making a transaction. It was about knowing people, believing in what you offered, and creating relationships that could last for years.
That ability to connect with customers became part of my mom's influence as well.
In 2015, she brought her own creativity, style, and entrepreneurial vision into our textile story when she created Miami Fitwear, transforming her ideas into a brand with an identity of its own.
Growing up, I’ve been surrounded by all of these different talents — the knowledge to make a product, the creativity to build a brand, and the ability to connect that product with the people who will love it.
For me, textiles and entrepreneurship have never simply been a business.
They are part of who we are.
The Meaning Behind Stella Raquel
My family is also at the heart of my name.
Stella Raquel brings together the names of the women from both sides of my family.
On my father’s side, my grandmother is named Esthela. Stella was inspired by her name, giving me a connection to my paternal grandmother and the family tradition that began generations before me.
Raquel comes from my mother’s side. It is the name of my maternal grandmother and also the name of my mother.
So Stella Raquel is more than the name of my brand. It carries the women who came before me and brings both sides of my family together in one name.
It represents where I come from — and now, where I want to go.
Now It’s My Turn
At 8 years old, I’m proud to continue this tradition as the third generation with a brand of my own: Stella Raquel.
And it feels especially meaningful that my first collection brings our story back to where it all began:
Hosiery.
Stella Raquel begins with premium tights made in Italy, created with a focus on exceptional quality, comfort, craftsmanship, and timeless style.
There is something special about starting here. Decades after my grandparents began manufacturing hosiery, I get to introduce it to a new generation — through my own eyes, with my own name, and with a vision for what comes next.
This Is Only the Beginning
I want Stella Raquel to grow as I grow.
Today, it begins with tights. Tomorrow, I hope it becomes much more — expanding into beautiful, thoughtfully made products for girls and women, all connected by quality, style, and attention to detail.
I’m only 8, which means most of my story is still waiting to be written.
But I already have so much to carry with me: the craftsmanship of one side of my family, the entrepreneurial spirit of the other, my mother’s creativity, and generations of lessons about products, people, and relationships.
Now I get to bring those pieces together and make them my own.
My name is Stella Raquel.
This is my story. This is my beginning. And this is my brand.
